About / Crew Corner

ABOUTTHE PEOPLE, THE TOOLS, THE POINT OF VIEW.

LAB Media Productions is a media studio built around one simple idea: good work should be clear, useful, and made for the person who actually needs it. Websites, photos, video, graphics, content, and strategy are different tools. The goal is making them work together when they need to.

The short version

WHERE LAB MP COMES FROM.

LAB Media Productions operates under LAOB PhotoArt, LLC. It expands a photography and visual-creative foundation into a broader studio for websites, media, design, and connected digital work.

Not a dramatic origin myth

ONE TOOLBOX KEPT GETTING BIGGER.

Photography was already part of the picture. Then the same conversations kept reaching into websites, social media, video, graphics, messaging, and how all of those pieces fit together.

LAB MP is the place where those pieces can be treated as parts of the same job instead of unrelated errands.

FOUNDATIONPhotography, visual judgment, and making things people can actually see and use.
EXPANSIONWebsites, video, graphics, content, and the planning needed to connect them.
NOWA studio that can take one focused piece or help several pieces work together.
01Photographer

Years behind the camera shaped the way LAB MP thinks about light, framing, detail, and how a visual makes someone feel before they read a word.

02Former firefighter / EMT

That background still shows up in the work: stay calm, understand the situation, solve what matters first, and communicate clearly.

03Private pilot

Planning, situational awareness, checklists, and knowing when conditions have changed all translate surprisingly well to creative projects.

04Business builder

LAB MP is being built from the same side of the table as its clients: with budgets, deadlines, imperfect information, and real decisions attached.

The crew

WHO'S ACTUALLY HERE?

Click a card. Think of it like a quick business card for each part of the LAB MP crew, including the rolling support team member that lives in the garage.

YES, THE EXECUTIVE TEAM HAS WHISKERS. YES, THE TRUCK GETS A CARD TOO.

CREW 01 / HUMAN

LUIZ

Founder / creative lead
The human at the center of LAB MP. Luiz sets the creative direction, works directly on the projects, makes the final calls, and keeps the different pieces moving toward the same goal.
If a visitor or client needs a decoder ring to understand what we made, we have more work to do.
How we try to work

FIVE THINGS WE KEEP COMING BACK TO.

These are not commandments carved into a marble lobby. They are practical checks we can use while something is being planned, built, reviewed, or delivered.

In normal language: if someone cannot quickly understand what they are looking at or what to do next, polish alone will not save it.
The AI question

AND YES, EVELYN IS AI.

We would rather explain that clearly than dress it up as something mysterious. Modern production uses modern tools. What matters is how they are directed, checked, and used.

Digital production assistant

TECHNOLOGY WITH THE LABEL STILL ON IT.

Evelyn is LAB MP's AI digital production assistant and a recurring visual character in the studio. AI can help explore ideas, organize information, test directions, draft, compare, and speed up parts of production.

It does not get a magic wand. Human direction, judgment, review, and responsibility still matter.

No. Evelyn is an AI digital production assistant and branded character, not a human employee. We say that plainly because there is no reason to make visitors guess.

NOW FOR THE ACTUAL MANAGEMENT.

Thorin and Adeleine appear around LAB MP because they are genuinely part of the studio's personality. They also maintain extremely strong opinions about keyboards, deadlines, unattended chairs, and meal service.

After extensive review, I have determined that any workflow requiring me to move from the keyboard is inefficient.
The garage / rolling support bay

AND YES, RAMONA LIVES HERE TOO.

Ramona is not the star of the company. She is simply part of real studio life. She is the truck that supports the work, the errands, the hauling, the gear, and the movement around the edges of production.

Part of the real-world setup

NOT A MASCOT. NOT A MYSTERY. JUST PART OF THE STORY.

Some visitors notice the truck when it appears around the brand. That is fine. The simple explanation is also the correct one: it belongs to the real world around LAB MP, so it shows up when it makes sense.

That means no strange symbolism, no over-explaining, and no pretending it does more than it does. It is just one more honest detail that makes the brand feel lived in instead of made up.

What it isA real part of the studio world and a recognizable support vehicle.
Why it appearsBecause brands feel more believable when they include the real details that actually belong there.
What mattersIt supports the identity. It does not replace the work.

Enough about us.

TELL US ABOUT YOU.

You do not need a finished plan. Bring the idea, the goal, the challenge, the half-written note, or the thing you keep saying you need to “do something about.”
